Death Valley in Summer: A Dangerous Journey
Death Valley is renowned for its extreme temperatures, and for good reason. Between May and September, this arid desert transforms into a fiery furnace, making it one of the most dangerous places on Earth. For this reason we do not allow our vans to drive through during the summer season.
Record-breaking temperatures: Death Valley is infamous for holding the world record for the highest recorded air temperature. During the summer months, these temperatures can soar to dangerous levels, often exceeding 120°F (49°C).
Overheating: Vehicles are susceptible to overheating in extreme heat. A breakdown in the desolate desert can quickly become a life-threatening situation.
Limited cell service: Many areas of Death Valley have poor or no cell phone service, making it difficult to call for help in an emergency.
Please do not enter Death Valley during summer to prevent risk to yourself and to our vans.
