There are currently only three toll roads in New Zealand: : the Northern Gateway Toll Road north of Auckland, and the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road and the Takitimu Drive Toll Road, both in Tauranga.
Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road (State Highway 2) – Tauranga
You can expect to save around 12 minutes by taking the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road. Located between the Paengaroa roundabout and the Domain Road interchange, the 15.5 kilometre toll road offers an alternative to the Te Puke Highway, through Te Puke.
Takitimu Drive Toll Road (State Highway 29) – Tauranga
You can expect to save around 7 minutes at non-peak times by taking the 5 kilometre Takitimu Drive Toll Road. The alternative routes are via Cameron Road or Moffat Road / Cambridge Road.
Northern Gateway Toll Road
The Northern Gateway Toll Road is New Zealand’s first fully electronic toll road where motorists don’t stop to pay the toll on the road.
