We recommend that you check the oil and coolant levels in your vehicle daily to reduce the likelihood of mechanical breakdown. You should check the oil and coolant when the engine is cool, first thing in the morning is a good time to do this. This is a quick and easy process that will get you on the road with confidence.

If you notice the oil level is below the ‘minimum’ mark, refill 1 litre of oil, not more as you will risk overfilling. If you notice a leak or if the level of oil is decreasing quickly, contact Travellers Autobarn for assistance.
The recommended oil for your vehicle is:
- Australia: 20w50 for all models
- New Zealand: 10w40 for Toyota Hiace and 20w50 for the Toyota Estima
- USA: 5w30 synthetic for Chevrolet Express and 5w20 for the Dodge Caravans.

Only open the coolant container when the engine is cool, as this is a pressurised system. If you need to refill the coolant in your vehicle, match the colour (pink or green) of the coolant already in the vehicle. Only use water if absolutely necessary.
