Kuga Jump Start Guide
If you attempt to start your camper, and it doesn’t start, follow these steps to jump start the battery.
Confirm that it is indeed a dead battery issue. When attempting to start, are the lights going dim? Does it make a quick clicking sound when turning the key over? This most likely indicates a dead battery.
Doctor Box
- Open the hood of car and locate the Doctorbox. A small black box with two power cables connected to it. They are normally mounted directly onto the battery itself, or to the frame of the vehicle. (As shown below)
- Press the push button, this will draw power from the secondary house battery to jump start the camper.
- Attempt to start the vehicle.
Jumper Cables
- Open the hood of the car and locate the battery, similar as to the example above.
- Use the clamp to connect one cable to the positive terminal of your battery, then connect that same cable to the positive terminal on the battery of the car jump starting you.
- Use the clamp to connect the other cable to the negative terminal on the battery, then connect that same cable to the negative terminal on the battery of the car jump starting you. (NEVER CONNECT POSITIVE (+) TO NEGATIVE (-)
- While the other vehicle is on, attempt to start your vehicle.
- When disconnecting, make sure to remove the cables opposite of how you put them on and make sure to not allow the ends of the cables to touch while plugged.
