To use the microwave installed in your vehicle, you must be plugged into a powered campsite.
Check the RCD/safety switch is in the up/on position, and that the van is receiving power by connecting a phone charger or appliance to a power outlet. If the van is not receiving power from the campsite, please refer to THIS article for troubleshooting.
If you've checked the power outlets are working but your microwave is not on.
Your microwave is connected to its own power outlet in your van, so if it is not working, this is most likely caused by the switch on the outlet being off or the microwave plug not being connected firmly. You can check this and turn it on/reconnect if needed.
Depending on your van model, there are a few places you can find this outlet:
Kuga - the microwave is plugged into an outlet in the battery compartment, which is under the bench seat next to the kitchen.
Hitop/Budget - depending on your van, this outlet might be in the battery compartment (same as Kuga), in the long cupboard next to the microwave or behind the microwave. If this is the case and you cannot reach it, please contact us for further assistance. Our contact options can be found at the bottom of this page.
Hi5 (option 1) - the microwave is connected to an outlet in the long compartment next to it. Your RCD/safety and 12v switches are here as well in this model.
Hi5 (option 2) - the microwave is plugged in behind the microwave. You can visually check if the switch is off or it has become unplugged by looking in over the microwave. If you need to reach this connection, you can access it from the cupboard under the microwave.
If the van is receiving power and the microwave is correctly plugged in but it is not working, please contact our customer care team for further assistance and we will be happy to help. Our contact options can be found at the bottom of this page.
